Modern version:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out, because socialism is cancer murdered quadrillions vuvuzela

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out, because unions are socialism quadrillions vuvuzela

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out, for I was a little bit Nazi and hated the Jews too.

Then they came for the woke, and I did not speak out, for I was asleep (woke is communism vuvuzela I’m a proud racist)

They never came for me. We just took over the country and ran it to the ground like a business. Now I’m a caveman.
