Proper Tool listening

For proper tool listening, your musical tastes need to be more evolved than the common man who can’t get into anything other than 4/4 and the occasional 3/4. It’s OK to be like that but when you jam enough common time and waltz rhythms just sound monotonous and boring imo. Tool likes to use exotic time signatures as well as using multiple different time signatures in the same song which just adds a lot more to the advanced listener but short changes the untrained ear. This is not exclusive to Tool but hitting as hard as they do through well tuned subwoofers as well as actually using intricate time signatures is what they do best and few can touch it. But yeah I didn’t listen to tool until I heard them through a real system.
