Pulling Meryl has literally saved my satisfaction with the game

You know why I fucking hate this game’s combat? You know what my biggest frustration is? Everyone and their mother stunning me for 17 consecutive years. That and the laggy dodge with the game often teleporting me *back* into an attack I dodged out of, but if it weren’t for everyone and their mother stunning me for 17 consecutive years, it wouldn’t be as punishing, and I wouldn’t be as peeved with it. So yeah, you get the idea of how much I hate everyone and their mother stunning me for 17 consecutive years. I tap attack once and I get interrupted, I dodge and I get interrupted, I jump attack and I get interrupted, combat is fucking toxic.

Introducing the Meryl I just randomly pulled yesterday. You know what her skill does? Hyperbody. You know what her hold attack does? Hyperbody. You know what hyperbody does? CC immunity. Boom. No more interrupts every 2 seconds. No more everyone and their mother stunning me for 17 consecutive years. I have near perma unstoppable on demand. Nothing feels better than screaming “I defy your shit” and defying their shit. Spinning through all the things I knew would’ve ruined all the fun if I didn’t have Meryl. Oh and I just 1star’d her with a black nucleus pull so all the enemy shields just mysteriously vanish for some reason and I’m always at full health and no one knows why. Pair that up with Frigg’s infinite dodge within her BGM and combat actually feels… satisfying? …Is this what a fun game actually feels like?

So yeah, this is the story of how Meryl and her perma unstoppable literally saved my satisfaction with the game. Gone are the days of everyone and their mother stunning me for 17 consecutive years, combat is actually smooth. Until I meet the next omega bullshit boss that is. Fuck [insert just about 90% of this game’s bosses here], all my homies hate [boss].
