That’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard.
I should be able to decline the taxes that pay their salaries then, same with Supreme Court justices.

Protect? We don’t do that here.
Completely consistent with the fact the conservative members of the Supreme Court see all law enforcement and prosecution as a tool to keep the poor in line and protecting the elites.

The issue is much more nuanced. You need to read the case law to respond to this.
makes sense. cops are not your personal body guards. they’re there “for the greater good of the public” not to protect individuals in times of danger. they do whatever they need to ensure that the greater public isn’t in danger.
the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one….
Time to write that shit into their contracts.
