I mean… I *am* 21. Umm… Keep it up?
Be smarter with your money. Take better care of your body. Be mindful of your drinking.
Prepare for 2016, everything goes to shit after that.
It would depend EXACTLY when exactly I’m 21. Just barely turned 21? 21 and six months old? 21 and 9 months old? But if we’re going by 21 exactly (as in when I turned 21), I would say,
“DON’T GO TO UNIVERSITY A. GO TO UNIVERSITY B AND REALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO MAJOR IN. ALSO, VOLUNTEER. JOIN CLUBS. MAKE CONNECTIONS. GET EXPERIENCE!!!
I don’t care what your friends say; don’t buy them alcohol.
Figure what bitcoin is and invest your beer $ into it
Be more confident.
Be passionate about something. Doesn’t really matter what it is. Getting rejected isn’t as bad as it seems. Lastly, when people show you who they really are, believe them.
Honestly, live it up. You’ll never get those carefree years back. (Source: a 35 year old).
Change your degree program to something with more real-world value. Keep the things you truly love doing as hobbies and passion projects to avoid burnout.
It gets better.
Your 20’s are for you to discover yourself as an adult. It’s time to learn what.you want to learn, do what you want to do, start.your career, hate it and change your career, explore the world amd yourself. Marriage and children can wait until your thirties!
Weed is better than alcohol. Go update your ID and go to the dispensary. Stop drinking it’s not worth it honestly
Fucking take the other job offer
Start investing now – just do it. Compound interest is your friend and you will be so thankful later!
Don’t consider marriage until you’re 28
Don’t reenlist.
Gtfo, and go to school while you can still walk normally.
Quit trying to please everyone.
Buy the house not the fancy truck….
Ah…well that’s when my life got fucked up so..
“Good luck, asshole!”
1- Pick up a hard-skilled craft and keep beating on it until you can monetize it.
2- Learn how to communicate with other people no matter what background they come from.
3- Stay single.
Stop using credit cards you dummy. Even if you crunch the numbers and it works out you are adding so much unneeded anxiety.
At 21 I was afraid to point out that women aren’t paid less for the **same** work. If you compare ALL women vs ALL men, the average income IS lower than women. But this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the result of discrimination. In fact, we know men choose more dangerous jobs. So is there a correlation in pay for the jobs women choose less often? Maybe. Or maybe it’s just another factor in the **choices** that women and men make differently.
I was afraid to say that before, because women can really angry. But my advice to my 21 year old self would to be brave. You don’t get success with women by being a pushover or yes-man. You have to tell them when they’re wrong sometimes. Not because men know all the answers – no one does; that’s why women conversely also tell men when they’re wrong too.
That’s just one of many things that used to hold me back. I was also afraid of approaching women because of being berated, being accused of being a creep. But that goes away with experience. Most women are really nice, despite the types of women on Reddit and social media.
Save some money, buy an empty building lot. Don’t buy stupid shit you can’t afford using credit cards.
Pull out…
My life hasn’t changed in the slightest since I was 21, so nothing really.
Have that beer on your way home.
Break up with your gf, she cheated on you, invest in bitcoin, stop smoking, get in shape, take better care of your mental health.
