I went to a baseball game for work, and recorded the fireworks for my son. He was four and he asked me to.
You know you can record and still enjoy the event right? If there’s a particular song from a concert I want to get on video to watch later then I’ll just aim the phone, hit record, and hold it up with one hand while while I watch the show. I go back and watch these videos semi frequently and they’re great memories to have
Because if I say the spinning graphics with the jelly fish were really cool you will not understand but if I show you a [small clip](https://imgur.com/a/TS1jjXr) you’ll be able to understand. I wouldn’t record an entire concert but I’ll create clips occasionally.
Because I want to capture an amazing event and show others.
… and I never watch or share anything. It’s getting backed up on pcloud though! Never going to download to watch it because pcloud is so slow
for me, its in case something crazy happens. and yes, quite often actually.
I’ve never recorded an event *instead of* enjoying it, but I’ve recorded lots of events while simultaneously enjoying them. I do rewatch them, when they pop up on my smart displays or my photo backup app.
People who think you can’t record and enjoy something at the same time, how do you manage to breathe and do anything else?
Okay I record like 30 seconds of the event and watch the rest grouchy McGroucherson
Here’s a pro tip: Someone else is already filming the event and you can possibly find yourself in their video!
Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLeHXg6DRxY
There were like 30 people here(and I totally see me in that video)and someone was still recording
Why do you assume toy can’t do both?
People who record concerts and fireworks instead of fully enjoying the event are missing out on a crucial aspect of the experience. Sure, they might have a video to show for it, but they are sacrificing the present moment and the feeling of being in the moment. The point of these events is to enjoy them in real-time, not just to have a video to show later. They should put down their phones and immerse themselves in the moment.
I send the fireworks pics to my mom and she replies with 👍and sends me her fireworks pics
