Saved because my brother just got a job at an Amazon warehouse where some dude literally lost his arm this year.
When I got a write up for going to the bathroom and getting water. Technically it was because I was “idle” too long. Like I’m sorry that I have to climb down three flights of stairs, walk through five conveyor gates, and stroll all the way across the warehouse to the break area just to go to the bathroom. Oh and the water stations that were supposed to be on every floor, yea they were always empty, nobody ever came around to fill them up. This was in a non temp controlled warehouse in July in the south.
They only gave 2 30 min breaks including lunch for a 10 hour shift. It became just unbearably painful to stand that long and I’m not in bad shape at all. An in an odd side note, I didn’t even meet my boss until I quit.
Didn’t quit. My job was eliminated at the site I worked at and moved to a different warehouse further away. I worked for Amazon for 3 years until then. Honestly loved it, enough work to make the time fly. But at my 2 year mark I did move up to become Amnesty trainer so it was a pretty different job after that.
Because I was having major alcohol issues and wasn’t thinking clearly. I ended up going back though. One of the best jobs ive ever had
