  1. Working in food service before, customers will blame you and get angry with you because they’re going to be late for work in the morning. It’s not my fault you didn’t plan your morning out well and have to wait 10+ minutes for your coffee. If you’re such in a rush make your food or drinks at home and don’t blame the workers. It’s not our fault and doesn’t concern me.

  2. Tech Support

“I saved my document, and it said that the file was already in use and asked if I wanted to rename the current file or overwrite the od one. I should be able to use whatever file name I want, so I picked “overwrite.” Now my old file is gone, and I need it for a meeting that starts in five minutes. You can recover it for me, right?”

  3. Friend’s wife went into labor while my friend was on a camping trip with his dad, so she called me since we lived in the same neighborhood. All this whilst I was mid Phase 1 MCU box set binge. She ended up having a toilet baby lol

  4. attorney. i’ll have clients who i can’t get a hold of for months at a time. absolutely no contact. but OH- then on the morning of their hearing, i get 13 missed calls (no voicemails) because they need me to reschedule their court date and complaints to my supervisor because i ‘never answer my phone.’ -___-

  5. I do payroll. My lazy ass coworkers turn in everything late to me, and every single week they are *flabbergasted* when that results in them getting paid late. They holler and scream and threaten to grieve to the union, so I have to keep extensive notes about all the times I called and emailed begging for their paperwork so I could process it.

So a lack of planning on their part does, in fact, constitute an emergency on mine. Or at least a shit ton of CYA.
