I always think about this when I’m sitting at a stop light. I’m just another person to that other person at the red light. They are headed somewhere just like I am headed somewhere.
Sometimes i see them as NPC’s in my main life quest. I imagine talking and interacting with some will open up side quests and entirely new avenues of life to explore.
I do think about these people. It’s a driving force in my ideology. I feel for my fellow man however I also know that the average person has many good attributes, flaws, and bad tendencies. That’s the average. There are almost 8 billion of us and I find it harder and harder every day to believe that the majority of the human race is of good character.
No, normally when I stare into a crowd I’m checking a guy out or envying someone’s shoes/purse/clothes.
Apparently I’m even more superficial than I realized, and that’s saying something.
I don’t, because of course they do. I think the poignancy of the concept is lost on me somehow. Like, that’s just what a person is, y’know?
Personally no, but my sister told me the other day that she does and that these exact thoughts gives her anxiety. I thought it was interesting how we all have various degrees of anxiety that is triggered by different things.
I don’t really care.
No because my life isn’t complex, complicated or intricate, it’s lame.
If I have to look into crowds of people I’m wondering why are there so many people living on this planet and then I get uncomfortable thinking about it
Yes. Even more so, I think about how that connects to me, and all the ways in which it doesn’t, and all the things unrelated to that, and all the mathematical constants that any number of relationships between any number of those things imply, AND how those things play out across time, and how somehow in this ridiculous kaleidoscopic maze of consciousness we somehow bump into other entities with their own perspectives and somehow agree on anything.
Consciousness is a trip.
Sometimes I see a stadium full of people and I’m like “how many people there REALLY have to pee right now?” I’m sure the number is in the hundreds. That’s like gallons and gallons of pee. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
There’s actually a term for that: Sonder. I used to, but now as an American I see a crowd and mostly just hope no one starts shooting and I don’t get COVID.
Personally no, I am just living my life like another person is. I am just another fish in a big pond.
