Escort missions.
I absolutely hate anything that requires server verification. I love that I can’t play a SP game because the server is down for maintenance.
One thing for me, in gacha games where they give you a high ranking item or character right off the bat. It ruins any sense of an actual challenge.
Stamina. In a lot of games it’s just an annoyance rather than something that ads to the game.
Required grinding. It’s more like work than a game.
The first person platforming in Doom Eternal
Crafting
Pay to win
I know they’re minor parts of a game but I’m getting pretty tired of games where you can slide around really easily no matter what terrain you’re on. I’m not saying I hate it on its own but it’s been added to a ton of games where it really probably doesn’t need to be.
Another things I hate about shooter type games is the whole idea of being able to spin around or aim your gun someplace else quickly and yet will still be able to get a very accurate shot off. If a real human spun around like some players do I highly doubt they’d be able to even focus quick enough to headshot someone 400 ft away with a pistol.
Unskippable cutscenes, after dying multiple times.
Shooting in rocket league.
In horror games where they give you an asthmatic’s level of cardio.
Peeking around corners in FPS games, it’s massively inconsistent in just about every game I’ve played
Fog of War. When levels have reduced visibility to add more challenge. It could be fog, darkness, a terrible water filter, ect.
Fire Emblem is especially terrible with these, as it’s a strategy game. And, during FoW chapters, while you have reduced visibility, ENEMIES can see you just fine. It’s like boxing blinddolded and the other guy can see fine.
i hate hacking (or any) minigames (in Prey for example). it’s just wasting my time and often has no sense
qte events during cutscenes when i thought i could chill for a second and watch a cutscene.
The bunny hop shot or the drop shot. If you jump while shooting your aim should be wildly off.
When keys are automatically set up so CTRL is sprint and SHIFT is run.
Also flying a helicopter in GTA V on PC, there is absolutely no way for it to get easier for me
People better than me. I hate that.
Permadeth.
Open world filler events.
Like no, I don’t want a map full of meaningless copy pasted fights against low level enemies. Give me fewer, unique events.
Energy systems/time gating, especially in single player games. Let me play the game, god dammit.
