Take it easy
Don’t stare at the yoga pants babes
Form, form, form. Learn the correct form, don’t fuck around with heavy stuff yet.
What most important is consistency. It’s awesome you’re going today and if you keep going even on days you don’t want to, it WILL pay off. Just don’t quit!!!!
Just do your thing; you’re there to better yourself. There will always be someone bigger/stronger than you and vice versa- don’t worry about them.
Use your flip flops in the showers.
Keep the discipline and don’t tear urself up .
Play slow and progress with time or u’ll end up like me with plenty of injuries which made me stop power lifting.
Food and staying dehydrated will come as a habbit
Bring a towel to wipe down anything you sweat on
Take it slow.
Consistency and Discipline are the key.
Bring a lot of water.
Set goals and let someone show you a good form
Don’t ego lift. Work on your technique first.
If you are unsure about something, ASK. Better 30 seconds of embarrassment than hurting yourself or someone else.
Look up Seth Feroce on YouTube- he knows his shit and presents it in a very honest, relatable way. Pay close attention to diet- for me this is the constant battle because I think like a fat kid.
Make your first visit at a non-peak time. Go on a Sunday afternoon and take your time learning the layout, familiarizing yourself with the equipment, asking questions, etc. You don’t want to be trying to do that at 5:30 pm on Tuesday when it’s crowded.
Get yourself a cute gym bag and pack it the night before. If you’re packed and ready to go, that’s one less step you need to take before going out that door.
Don’t call people gym rats, that’s my advice.
