How do we avoid a future where no one can get a job due to automation and AI, but still have to pay for housing, food, water, and medicine with money that cannot be obtained?

  1. If everything everyone needs can be produced without anyone working, perhaps it is time to change how we decide who gets how much stuff. Why should we keep jobs around, if they are not needed? Why demand people work, if we don’t need them to?

  2. The automation of processes, if anything, has created more jobs, rather than made them more scarce. It’s just that a lot of jobs now involve IT in some capacity or another. I imagine that’s a development that will continue happening. Also, this question is dumb and you need to stop watching movies lol
