  1. Bacon! The other one I heard, that I’m dying to try, is using mayonnaise instead of butter.

    This is a wealth of information already, I’m going to be coming back to this post later for ideas!

  2. Mayo and mustard (yellow brown whatever) mixed together for the outside, never use American cheese, use swiss and cheddar or provolone and cheddar instead, I also use garlic powder on the bread sometimes pepper flakes if I want it spicy.

  3. I put mustard on the inside of the bread almost all the time. Sometimes I have put some homemade pickled onions – well drained. Or some diced up pickles – sometimes dill, sometimes kosher dill, sometimes sweet, or sometimes a mix. I have never used premade relish though.

  4. after grilling one side and flipping add a little maple syrup. when the second side is done flip it to the syrup side and add syrup to the second side. grill the syrup sides for only a few seconds each.
