America thinks socialized medicine is for evil communists and no one from countries that have socialized medicine feels like trying to convince them otherwise.
Because 3/4 of our taxes go to the military. We’re being held hostage by military industrialists and pharmaceutical tycoons.
How did you think it became the richest?
Because they are prioritizing being the richest country in the world over providing free healthcare for their citizens.
Well, part of it is because other countries have different budget plans for their people. They may pay more taxes or are restricted to things that other countries allow monitored access to. Also, the economies are different in a way that sometimes is very smooth and others have economies that are meant to be up and down. Greed and selfishness by the extremely rich have some part in it as well.
There is no free healthcare. There is healthcare paid by taxes, healthcare paid by employers, or healthcare paid by individuals.
The U.S. can afford it. It’s just that the people who think that the government should decide who lives and dies when it comes to executing people believe that the government should not decide who lives and dies when it comes to saving lives.

I don’t really think it’s a question of can the country afford afford but people don’t like change or higher taxes when they’d be paying just as much or less because private insurance is expensive.
It’s the richest country in the world off the backs of the working class taxpayers. It wouldn’t be so rich if it didn’t constantly screw everyone over while also only seeing its citizens as numbers.

Richest in what exactly? America, as a governmental and political system is a kardashian. One swipe of the napkin and the whole allusion goes away.
I bet you think of Usamerica as the richest country.
Your question is a classic example that this is not the richest country. Most Usa inmates are in fact poor, and only the money exchange rates make them rich from the perspective of many other countries.
In case you’re wondering: it is Norway that has the best free healthcare system in the world.
