  1. Watching Hot Girls Wanted really was eye-opening, as apparently the porn industry is RIFE with injuries to both male and female performers. Hopefully that doesn’t happen in real life.

  2. It’s acting, so the same differences as in any movie. Their main job is acting, so they have to fulfill specific criteria depending on the genre. Everything is artificial, they use medication to last longer, enormous amounts of lube, substitutes for body liquid to make it seem like there is more of it, there are breaks between the scenes, so it doesn’t seem as exhausting as real sex etc. Normal people have different jobs they they spend most of their time on, they usually don’t spend as much time on their looks like actors do and sex isn’t the main aspect of their life. In reality most people have sex with people they also have feelings for (even if they don’t want to admit that), so sex isn’t purely a practical task to satisfy your sexual needs, there are emotions involved and it is more “meaningful”.

  3. There’s never any cleanup before and after. No seduction or aftercare. No water breaks, either. And why so serious? No one ever seems like they’re having a genuinely good time

  4. Real life is two people; I mean you do you, but my point is it’s an actual connection. It’s real. Movies aren’t?

You want to have sex with someone, get to know them, have affirmative consent, and then it’s “listen and respond” and be safe out there. Mankind hasn’t waxed poetic over that pleasure button for all history for no reason, so treat your body with care (and please play responsibly). It’s exactly as special as you make it in that moment.

A movie, porn hard soft whatever, any top 10 song in history, and all the rest “talking about it” and showing off what’s in our randy little minds? Porn isn’t any more real than a sitcom trope, because that’s not how real life is.

  5. A lot of the mainstream porn focus on things that look good or would feel good for a man. I’d say that a lot of what happens in porn would not make a woman orgasm – unless you do specific searches for ex: amateur stuff with caring partners or accurate videos that teach about how to make her orgasm.

  6. The positioning is different. In real life, both people are oriented for physical contact. In porn, the actors are oriented for visibility.
