If even in Texas, a mass shooter can kill 18 kids at an elementary school, where does the concept that “more guns makes us safer” actually work?

Arent schools gunfree zones?
You think people who say that argue in good faith? Lol
Your argument would be valid if firearms weren’t already banned in schools.
Mostly in public places where firearms aren’t prohibited (cant take a CCW or open carry on school property)
How many of these shootings take place in areas where people are generally armed?
Well if those kids were armed…

It wouldn’t matter if guns were banned entirely because they will still get obtained but through illegal means. The ones that are actually doing all of those mass shootings are evil people. The law abiding people are actually using them for sport, hunting, and self-defense.
Since 2019 there have been [2,395 *reported* incidents](https://datavisualizations.heritage.org/firearms/defensive-gun-uses-in-the-us/) of defensive gun use. It happens literally every day, often many times a day, but it does not get any media coverage. Check out /r/dgu for specific examples.
OP fail.
Firearms are prohibited in schools… “even in Texas.”
Maybe they think the 4th graders should be carrying them
Nowhere. Even if there’s a good guy with a gun, the bad guy can kill them first and continue their carnage. And then there’s the numerous accidental deaths. So long as there’s someone with a gun, we’re less safe — not more
As a soldier in an open conflict.
There is no part of civilian life where having guns makes you safer.
If good guy had a gun, bad guy would be stopped before he could do much damage. Instead of 18 shot, maybe 2 would be.
literally nowhere
The emphasis should be on more gun education and detection of unstable persons
In the incinerator.
the white house
It’s doesn’t. It’s bullshit. The more guns, the more danger.
