If you could rewrite history so any big company, either modern or defunct, would no longer exist, which would it be and why?

Facebook and all social media. We would live in a way different world.
Nestle. Fuck nestle.
Probably FB – completely changed society, harvested our data and subliminally influenced political stances
Of users. One of the first companies to manipulate the user, creating the acronym like FOMO – fear of missing out etc

Amazon because why should I order something online that will come in 2-5 days when I have a store up the road that sells cheaper and the same thing
Let apple go bancrupt in that fateful hour back in the 90s
Fox News and all its cronies
Chiquita and friends so nicaragua and the rest of central america could have become developed countries in peace.
Nestle
Imagine if you could still buy a house from sears
Twitter and Facebook
Catholic church
Rupert Murdoch
Walmart.
No Walmart, no Amazon, no big box stores.
I think Amazon has stolen the dignity of the American laborer more so than any company in recent history. The stories that come out of Amazon sound like a sweatshop in the third world, and it’s happening to my people. Americans, lately, are bad at demanding what they need in the workplace, opting to support rugged individualism at their own expense rather than policy that hurts corporations. I fear other companies will take Amazon’s lead and make my proud people piss in bottles.
So, uh, Amazon.
disney
microsoft
amazon

Came into this thread to write Nestle. Sorted by top, and top 2 are Nestle!
Twitter
Nestle. I’d rather step on a bill-ding while being eaten alive by a group of piss ants than support their company
Fox Entertainment Group
I guess I don’t need to explain why.
How has no one said Monsanto yet?!
The Federal Reserve.
So when cars were invented, they all started as electric. Edison was just bad at making batteries. So Ford dropped the idea…
Honestly if we could just rewrite history to where schools would teach more about the earth (such as what every plant is, how to garden, the importance of not littering, being connected to the earth, bare-footing, etc…) we would be far better off.
Go back and make it so medical insurance never became popular our health care system would be soooo much better
The East India Company. Modern corporations are immoral and evil for sure, but none of them are “maintain a military twice the size of Britain’s and use it to lay waste to anyone who stands in our way of profiting” levels of evil. The East India Company was capitalism turned up to 11.
You reckless fuckers need to read your sci-fi.
You won’t be creating a better world that lacks all the evil and inequalities these companies have brought. Capitalism ensures the market will be filled by someone else who will have every incentive to act the same shitty way our timelines companies did.
If I could rewrite history to do something, I wouldn’t. I can do plenty right TF now without accidentally setting technology back 50 years or causing the USA to “win” Vietnam and lean even harder into imperialism.

Technically our politics are used as a business, so I’d start there
The Government is a company right?
