If you were transported 400 years into the past with no clothes or anything else, how would you prove that you were from the future?

What do you think?

  1. I’d be a giant among them. I had a shitty childhood in terms of nutrition, but it was still close to infinitely better than the average 1600’s childhood food. Plus I’m fat.

So they would assume I’m just an incredibly wealthy man walking around naked because I’m so rich I can do what I want.

  2. I would not even try, they’d probably burn me for witchcraft…..they would probably assume I was a witch right of the bat by appearing naked in the middle of nowhere.

I would be as my British friend would say.

    Royally fucked.

  3. Assuming you could speak and understand the local dialect, you probably couldn’t convince anyone you were from the future without evidence. For me however I would try and find the local Freemasons and talk with them as they would be the most open to listen and help me get clothed.

  4. I’ve thought about this question a lot actually, and the answer is that it is impossible.

Sure, you can make all kinds of predictions (but let’s face it, what could you predict from 400 years ago that would happen then and there? Unless you’re a huge history buff, good luck. ), but that could just prove you’re lucky.

Sure, you can demonstrate advanced knowledge of science and math and engineering. But that doesn’t prove you’re from the future. You could just be a genius, or from a far away place that nobody has ever heard of.

No matter what you do or say, it is ALWAYS more likely that you’re just lucky, or a genius, or crazy, than that you’re from the freaking future.

  5. Well, I just learned that King James I of England dissolves the English Parliament in February 1622. So I’d say that and then reap the rewards when it happens.

  6. If I was transported from exactly the location I am now, I’d almost certainly die from either exposure, starvation, or being murdered by the indigenous population.

Not a lot of time to communicate super future knowledge.
