Male redditors, what is something you’d like to do or wear but you don’t because society considers it as “unmanly” ?

  1. One of my favorite hobbies is sewing. But when I talk about what I like to do with others I always talk about fishing and woodworking and my other “manly” pastimes. I want to talk about sewing damn it!

  2. Not anymore but when I was younger my sports teacher was an asshole. I walked from the bus to the school and arrived with gloves on. He told me I was weak and I should man up. The years after and still now I sometimes feel bad for wearing gloves when it’s a lil cold.

(I have the Raynaud’s syndrom/phenomenon, I need to wear gloves when temperatures are 10°C or my hands will be pretty painful.)

  3. Pedicures.

I hiked the Appalachian trail and the first thing I did when I got back was my girlfriend took me to get a pedicure.

    That was 10 years ago.

I still go to get pedicures with my fiancée.

They are amazing. I grew up in the south in the mountains with a hard working very traditional family.

They judge me hard for having them done but I’m gonna keep preaching how amazing it is until one of those hard asses finally goes and see that I’m a trend setter for the hillbilly community.

  4. I like eyeliner. I dabbled in it when I was going through an emo phase as a kid, and it works when you’re a teenage boy with floppy long hair.

Not so much as a bald adult. It just really isn’t my style anymore. But every once in awhile I see some historical character in a show with eyeliner and I think – damn that looks badass.

  5. Maybe sometimes I do like to use sugar scrub or the occasional bath bomb…
Who am I kidding, I can hardly shower, but they make for nice thoughts.

  6. I want to use a loofah. I don’t know why I haven’t bought one, I live alone. Everytime I see one in a store I think about it, but can’t bring myself to do it.

  7. I wanna wear a cropped leather biker jacket out in public without getting shit for it.

Wore mine to Mardi Gras this year since I felt like that was the only place where “wearing what you want” goes. But damn I love the shape and look of those things, they just have so much attitude and look so sexy. Here’s a good example of one I’ve thought about buying anyway lol: [](

Men’s jackets tend to be longer and more rectangular but I like the more “square-ish” shape of the cropped ones. I know guys with the right body type can rock them too. Adam Lambert has definitely worn one and some of those KPop guys do as well.

  8. Honestly, I find mermaids beautiful and I’d love a mermaid figurine as a home decoration

Same with roses, actually. Roses are beautiful
