  1. Guy I was in highschool with was an abusing dick. He used my phone to call his gf one time. So, I texted her and acted like I was confused about the number. We ended up meeting that night and had an amazing night. He ended up going to jail for assault or something and she moved away.

  2. Haven’t done this, and I agree that it’s a shitty thing to do, but I’m of the opinion that you can’t blame anyone but the cheater. Hot take, I know. There will always be “home-wreckers”, but It’s on the the people who are taken to remain loyal.

  3. Whoever did it, shame on you. I saw some answers saying you both wanted it, or that the other person is responsible… The responsibility is on both of you and you should know better. Imagine if you were cheated on and someone explained it to you like this. “We both wanted it”… Pathetic…. No morals whatsoever.

  4. Because I knew she was in a terrible relationship and was extremely unhappy and hated herself. I gave her to self confidence back that she should have received in her regular relationship and she left him.

  5. Because the guy she was seeing was a total deadbeat. He was also my room mate.

She had been trying to leave him but he was very manipulative and threatened to neck himself so she stayed to prevent that. He also owed me a fuckload of money for rent and utilities. The guy was a piece of shit even if we were loosely friends.

One new years eve we went out clubbing and he went home feeling sick, leaving her and I together. The rest is history.

  6. I am not coming from any of those positions, the closest to it was my gf ending a relationship and getting into another the next day.

Having said that, why do people think that both, person cheating and the stranger are responsible for keeping your relationship alive?

Fuck no, it would not be my issue, nor would it be dude’s that would(God forbid) be with my gf. If anything, I think it’s good to have person’s morals exposed earlier.
It’s such a weird attitude, to expect someone else to correct your SO’s morals. And honestly – wtf would it change, if your SO were ready to cheat on you, and someone else would deny her/him. How is that any better for you?

Obviously it doesn’t apply the same way, if it’s not a stranger, because that’s then about your mutual relation as well. But a stranger? Some of you have weird assumptions about how morality and faithfulness work.

  7. Went out of state for a trip some years ago to visit my parents and see their new house and all that. Their neighbors were throwing a big ‘ol party and I was invited along, and there was this girl there who I hit it off with. Lots of common interests, etc. Found out she had a boyfriend, however they were in a huge trouble spot.

Long story short, she was new to the area as well, and the plan was she was going to move to the area and her boyfriend was going to follow, but suddenly…he didn’t want to go, and was acting really standoffish.

We still became really good friends and she showed me around the area as she knew a bunch of spots. We became closer, and closer, and finally she was just like “fuck it” and started making out with me. Which escalated to fun time.

It was all kind of a good thing because it was the catalyst that made her realize that her boyfriend was severely holding her back and that she deserved better and she left. And no, I didn’t end up dating her, we live like 8h away from eachother.

(However, we became awesome friends with benefits!)

  8. 3 times.

Cheated once, my gf had gone long distance & it was with an old ex who also had a bf. Did it because I was lonely, both our partners were away and we sought companionship & intimacy with each other. I don’t regret it, it highlighted I was with the wrong person. We came together through work coincidentally, I didn’t seek them out or anything.

One married woman, she had a very high sex drive (her husband didn’t and was a bit sheltered) and it always put a strain on her relationship if she tried to ignore it or tried to pressure him into more frequent sex. We met online (Plenty Of Fish I think) and hooked up at hotels or my place, she was very up front and straightforward about it. She made it clear it was for one thing only that she couldn’t get at home and that suited what I was looking for at the time, she would go back to her husband afterwards and continue a normal happily married life. It phased out naturally as we both moved on to other people.

2nd married woman, told me they were separating and looking at divorce, being civil for the kids etc. We had some fun, I worked away sometimes so didn’t want anything serious, she would come to my hotels or my place when I was home. Turns out she lied about the separation, I knew she was married but this definitely would have changed the rationalisation and I don’t think I would have gone through with it.
