They reacted pretty well considering they kicked me out when I was 17
They tried to get me back with police when I ran away but I outsmarted them (them meaning the police)
My stepmom was way more surprised than I thought she’d be. She cried, begged, and even threatened (and at one point successfully) locked me in the house.
I’m 1 of 6 girls. And the oldest. And the only one that isn’t hers’. I realized later she counted on me for childcare while treating me like a child. I was 18 and still got spanked and put in timeout.
My Dad is the most uninvolved indifferent person I’ve ever met. So he actually came to say goodbye while I was locked in my room. Gave me a handshake. And didn’t lock the door. So that’s how I got out. Didn’t even make a comment on me crying, and how I hurt from my step mom beating me, how I was wearing almost nothing because my step mom didn’t think I’d leave like that.
