People who actively try to make their cars louder with straight pipes and/or rev engines . Why? Who do you believe you are impressing?

  1. Unfortunately it’s some shitty civic or the like the vast majority of the time and they can’t afford full, expensive exhausts so they just have the minimum done to make it loud.

If it’s done right it sounds amazing. Listen to 2JZ Supra, or an Infiniti G37s, or any Jaguar, or the pinnacle, Ferrari. Those companies put sooo much time into making that exhaust note just right. Even people who don’t care for cars turn to see what is making it.

  2. I have an exhaust on my car that is nice and quiet until you boot it and then it’s decently loud. I rarely give it the beans off track aside from a freeway on ramp occasionally.
It’s the most obnoxious I’m comfortable with. As far as the people who have super loud cars or bikes that like to fly around town at full throttle all the time? No idea.

  3. I don’t go as far as straight pipes but I will say an increase in tone ups the driving experience – like watching an action movie with tv speakers vs a home theatre system. My car has flaps in the exhaust though so I can tone it down when I’m cruising through the neighborhood
