Kerbal Space Program.
Elite: Dangerous is as good as it gets so far for straight up space flight simulators.
Freespace 2 has the best dogfighting gameplay though Star Wars: Squadrons gives it a run for its money.
X3, either game to use that prefix are fantastic fantastic examples of a game that transcends genres
I can’t decide between Endless Space or Stellaris for 4X space games, both are pretty fantastic
I know this is controversial but… I never had more fun playing a video game then when I was playing Destiny.

I can’t play space games all that much because as much as I love space it gives me a constant sense of dread 🙂
But I like Outer Wilds! You can’t fuck up! Everything resets!
Space Jam. It’s a basketball game played by aliens and Micheal Jordan. They should really make a movie about it

Event[0], just awesome, plus a phenomenal secret/unintended ending which makes it 10x better
Dyson Sphere Project – awesome construction game with beautiful graphics. You travel between the stars setting up mining operations and factories to produce the materials you need to build Dyson swarms and spheres around stars or even black holes.
It’s basically Factorio on steroids

Guardians of The Galaxy is amazing
Freelancer. Was such an amazing game, and nothing since has captured quite the same feel. This thread is inspiring me to go back and give it another playthrough.

The level editor gives the game a lot more possibilities, I was sucked into it when I was 7-12 years old
