  1. Close your eyes and start to tell a story, integrate yourself, and work into it any sounds, smells, or sensations you’re feeling while you’re laying there. Every time you get distracted, start the story all over from the beginning. Eventually, your brain gets bored and shuts itself down.

    Watch what you eat

    Try melatonin.

  3. Learn to pronounce a very difficult word or phrase. The effort of trying to say it becomes a sleep trigger. For me it was the word Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerechwyndrobyllllantysiliogogogoch. Now it’s also a word I say in bad dreams to wake myself up.

  4. I used to have insomnia so bad, id get insomnia from worrying about how fucked over i was going to be from my insomnia.

    Turns out, anxiety. Theres a med for that, esp when it manifests as insomnia. Ironically, now that I know I can get some sleep when I *need* to, I very rarely have to take the med.

  5. Exercise, electronics off at least an hour before bedtime, hot treatment (shower, jacuzzi, sauna) shortly before bed, pre-sleep yoga, eye mask, cool room, good book and CBD gummy.

  7. Probably not the healthiest solution, but I have issues falling asleep so I just stay up until I’m really tired. Like nodding off in my chair tired. Then I sleep readily when I go to bed.

  8. Get a good blast of sunshine in your face for 15 minutes first thing in the morning to get your internal timers reset and running properly and falling asleep at night is easier.

  9. This might not be the same for everyone, but I found that shifting guided meditations work wonders. I personally don’t believe in shifting but the people who makes those guides have some sort of witchcraft in those videos, puts me right to sleep.

  10. Just watch ASMR

    I used to have a few hours of sleep, but when i started listening to ASMR in bed, i started to get 10 to 12 hours of sleep.

  11. This may be weird, but my mom told me if she was having issues sleeping she would think of what she would do and buy if she won the lottery. I’ve tried it a couple times and it worked. There are just so many possibilities and a lot to think about so you don’t run out of thoughts and it’s distracting enough

    Just kidding. I know it isn’t that easy at all. Physically or mentally exhaust yourself before sleep or use melatonin. Would be my advice.

  13. Dont drink caffiene. People say listen to quite/calm music. Dont. Make sure youve gone to the toilet and ect before going to bed. Dont want to wake up at 03:00 to go to the toilet. Avoid snacks. Always kill any bugs/insects (mosquitoes usually) that will iritate you in your sleep.
