  1. We’re trying but it’s hopeless. The NRA has our politicians by the balls.

    There are some walkouts and protests happening in TX at the NRA convention, and a school walkout the first week of June in some places. Beyond that we can’t do much but vote, even though voting does shit. My hope is that maybe the teachers strike or something big like that.

  2. We had the largest civil rights mass movement in American history last year, aka the Black Lives Matter protests.

    Guess how much we got from that? Mostly just far right media calling a 99.9% peaceful movement a bunch of thugs and terrorists to justify their own racial violence and attempt to end democracy. No police reform of substance, and in fact in the end giving them more money and power.

  3. Because the way to stop mass shootings is to get rid of the guns, and you have the entire gun industry, the entire Republican party, and millions of gun industry thralls who are there to stop that from happening. The Democrats are largely a disorganized pack of sackless nitwits, utterly helpless in the face of a loud, well-organized minority like that.
