Life is not fair. It will never be fair. You’re not guaranteed happiness and hard work doesn’t always pay off. You can do the absolute best you can and still not make it in this world. Such as life.
Like toilet paper, closer to the end, faster it goes
People you love are going to die before you do.
One disturbing truth every adult has to face eventually is that life is not fair. No matter how hard you work or how good you are, there will always be people who are better off than you are. This can be frustrating and lead to feelings of envy and resentment.
Unexpected family deaths
Bad shit happens. And whatever individual demon you faced in your childhood, you will have to face when you grow up. Running away from it will end worse.
Everyone around you starts to die and one day you’ll be sitting in the living room rocking chair of your great grandmother’s house and find yourself waiting for your great grandfather to walk out of their bedroom and start up a conversation with you.
You will get older and deal with pain. Also we’re meant to break down and die. And acknowledging that and letting people plan their exit from this existence is going to help solve a lot of problems in our society.
That life is pretty much meaningless
That you most likely will not die because of old age, but of a disease
Age realization at different points in life
The older we get, the less time we have left
Work
That your going to get old and end up like that really old person you seen somewhere and thought that will never be me.
At some point you start obsessing about money and it occupies way too much of your thoughts.
At the end of it all, only you can get you up in the morning everyday, take that next step. Your family and friends are support. But no one can save you in the end.
Not your job, not your religion, not your kids, not your therapist nor doctor, not your money, its just you, your body and whats in your head.
Now do it. Make a difference. Make it happen. You have to make it happen.
Because if you dont…well, there’s just emptiness…and emptiness, is a fate worse than death.
Caring for your parents as they weaken and die. If you are lucky they keep their wits until the end.
Your children will die.
The mail your parents got that you wanted as a kid?? Yeah.. it’s just bills.
* Skill is not everything.
* Hard work is not a silver bullet.
* Luck is huge.
The first two need to be cultivated to maximize the last.
Oh shit what’s that comma doing there?
Emptiness
everyone and everything will pass on eventually live your life until that day
Life won’t turn out exactly as you hoped or planned but you have to learn to roll with the punches.
That ends of life care is, in the main, abysmal. Certainly here in the UK.
You are not as important as you believe to be. These people will move on without you and the world won’t stop or even notice.
