It would be more interesting than scary. Also, they would still be aliens if they were born any place other than earth. If they had been there for many generations, there would be enough genetic drift from earthlings.
That would mean you’d be on an episode of star trek, where every alien species are just humans with different heads, and they all speak english.

I dont see that as scary.
They’d tell us that they’ve been trying to reach us about our car’s extended warranty.
Truly terrifying.
More advanced humans would be less scary, watching uncivilized humans trying to get through their blunder millenias would be horrific.
They made a movie similar to this concept called Another Earth.
It’d prove that DNA likely originated in space, and if we found them on one other world, statistically speaking, we’d find them on a lot more worlds.
