The scariest thing we could discover now would be humans on another planet. We are psychologically prepared for aliens but what if we actually found humans instead?

  1. It would be more interesting than scary. Also, they would still be aliens if they were born any place other than earth. If they had been there for many generations, there would be enough genetic drift from earthlings.

  2. That would mean you’d be on an episode of star trek, where every alien species are just humans with different heads, and they all speak english.

(I’m gonna get downvoted to hell, I know)

  3. It’d prove that DNA likely originated in space, and if we found them on one other world, statistically speaking, we’d find them on a lot more worlds.

  4. Nah, humans are humans. We know how to deal with humans.

The scariest thing we could find is a bug that has the attributes of the gympie gympie tree and is migrating across the world.
