There hasn’t been a president with facial hair since William Howard Taft, should the presidential beard make a comeback?

  1. Similar to what u/The_Real_Johnny_Utah commented, I’ve seen articles about how studies show that people think people with facial hair are less trustworthy because it makes them appear to be hiding something.

For it to have a chance, I think a couple of things would need to happen:

    1. Like political changes, I think it would have to rise up from the local level and up through the state level before being widely accepted at the national level
    2. It would have to be well groomed
    3. It would probably be most successful if a sitting president with a high approval rating grew one, instead of already having one when running for office
