  1. It was one of those things I did to experiment in my early 20s. It didn’t ruin our relationship per say, she just ended up moving away when she got married. I’ve seen her a couple times when she’s visited and we pick right up where we left off (conversation-wise).

  2. A friends with benefits relationship is a great way to blow off steam and relieve sexual tension when neither of you are in an exclusive relationship, I highly recommend them!

  3. I had a relationship for about 3 months when I broke up with her and since then she’s had a bazillion sexual partners lol, lots of threesomes and orgy’s too. So we occasionally still meet up. Best sex I ever had, but no feelings towards eachother other than friendship

  4. Other person is out of a long term marriage, I’m out of a long term relationship. Mutual layers of trying to cope with the emotional pain. For a more nontraditional, intellectualized answer: Dopaminergic waves of missing former partners hit and it’s nice to have someone in a similar situation to feed those dopamine withdrawals when you’re jonesing. Also validating in many respects.

  5. Me and a friend were fwb at one point. We were both attracted to each other and realised it’s what we both wanted. We’ve since stopped seeing each other but we’ve kept a good friendship.
