Way too late that it probably is an an outdated topic of conversation but just finished watching Bojack Horeseman for that first time and fucking hell, what a show. The utter brilliance of it all has left a gaping desire to discuss it further, so…anyone?

  1. Bojack just has some really dark moments that I feel like other shows are afraid of doing and I found that to be one of my favorite parts. You never know what he’s gonna do next.

  2. I was late on the Bojo bandwagon too and watched it as I was going through my recovery from depression. I found it very cathartic.

Something that stuck with me all the way through and ever since “I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast.”

  3. How the fuck do I explain that I’m a grown ass man with a family and a cartoon about a drunken horse just breaks me. The ending of season 3 is the most emotionally affected I’ve ever been by a TV show.

  4. Made the mistake of watching The View From Halfway Down and the finale completely stoned. Had one of the worst experiences of my life – nothing like facing the fear of death and the thought of burdening your loved ones while completely zooted. Made me realize I was in a deeper pit than I thought.

I stopped smoking for a solid year, and have since cut down to a fraction of what I had before. Got back on meds, restarted therapy, started taking my life more seriously. It’s a great show, literally changed my life, but I don’t think I’ll ever watch it again. Maybe it’s better that way.
