  2. Watch The Expanse if you haven’t already. Also, I love VelociPastor- it is a hilarious film that is great at making fun of itself. Definitely MST3K material there!

  3. These three are more than a bit weird-

The Brother from Another Planet (John Sayles 1984)
    Liquid Sky (Slava Tsukerman 1982)
The Man Who Fell to Earth (Nicholas Roeg 1976)

  4. Strange Days, 1995

Former policeman Lenny Nero (Ralph Fiennes) has moved into a more lucrative trade: the illegal sale of virtual reality-like recordings that allow users to experience the emotions and past experiences of others.

  5. Forbidden Planet. Based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest and said to be the template for Star Trek OS.

One of the first sci-fi films that took itself seriously.

    Disney did the special effects.

  6. Pandorum is pretty good. Kind of hard to get into but the ending in my opinion is worth it. I consider* myself pretty good at predicting endings but that one blew me away.

  7. Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone

Molly Ringwald the year before Sixteen Candles came out, Michael Ironside, Ernie Hudson. Very MadMax in a way, but on another planet and not about fossil fuels.
