You won’t even have to ask. Sometimes they’ll literally say it. Sometimes they’ll overshare a delusion, hallucination, or extreme mood. But mostly, mental illness thrives in loneliness and isolation, and they’ll be desperate to tell someone, *anyone who will listen*, all about it. A bit strange or savage lunatic? But: unexplainable behaviour and change of behaviour and unreasonable actions could be a hint, especially if the ‚suspect‘ can‘t explain or see it.
