My sense of humor
At age 25, I am completely financially independent. In 2012, I haven’t taken a penny from my parents or the government, I have my own apartment, car, health insurance, dog, etc. that I pay for 100% with money I earn from my job. I guess the reason why I am so proud of doing what everybody does is that my parents would be willing and able to pay for all of those things for me if I didn’t feel like earning money myself.

How I change my life around
Finally quit partying and got my life together. Now I’ve got a great career, relationship, own a home, and have my own airplane. Wish I would have done it sooner but glad I made it 😊
I consider pride to be a negative emotion, so I don’t feel proud.
Myself
The fact that, regardless of everything I’ve been through, I’m still here.

I’m learning mandolin and over the weekend at a family gathering I played in front of a (smallish) crowd for the first time. I started off before playing with “Y’all I’m still just learning so if I sound like poop don’t be surprised.”
I played a few songs and my uncle who plays guitar and is a notorius showoff/ass about music was like “Damn boy you pulled a trick on us! Said just started learning mandolin and you already sound like a pro!”
Basically it’s like Gordon Ramsay took a bite of my cooking and told me it was delicious lol
I’m proud of my ability to make light of any situation. No matter how dire things seem, I always try to find the humor in it. It’s a talent that has come in handy more times than I can count.
Ive volunteered over 1500 hours at the local animal shelter over the past 6 years
I finally found out how life works…
