  1. People who’ve never experienced this will probably disagree, but cheating and gaslighting. Really, most mental abuse by a partner. It’s humiliating, painful, and leaves you questioning yourself. If you cheat on someone you’re in a serious relationship with, you could fuck that person up for the rest of their lives. If you cheat in general, you’re a dick.

  2. Losing friends and family too early, like suicides, often leads to drink and drug abuse, its a slippery slope and personally I lost myself for quite some time, feels like a blur now fr

  3. stop sleeping or use drugs. e.g. you will lose the ability to tell dreams from reality, your family, friends and familiar neighborhood will appear foreign. you will not be able to form new memories and you will question if the world is real. all this from ambien and lexapro and poor sleep.

  4. 1) never voicing when something is bothering you, no everything isn’t always okay. 2) not getting over things, yes you’ve been through things, so has everyone else on the planet. What differentiates people is how they deal with and get over things – yes your ex treated you badly, that should not influence every relationship you have going forward.

  5. No social life at all. Even if you like being in your room because you need your space and don’t usually hang out, it’s healthy to go out with friends or someone at least a couple times a week/month.

We are social beings and need a minnimum of social interaction. I’m autistic and don’t go out a lot, maybe once a week at best, but lockdown had me fucked up in less than a month when it first started. I understimated how much seeing my friends helped me in the right times.
