* Microsoft Word. Equivalent software is costs less and can match a large percentage of functionality.
* Melamine Foam Sponges (Magic Eraser) pennies to make, costs hundreds of times more at Wal Mart. Go on Aliexpress and be amazed.
* Inkjet printer. You’ll spend more keeping that POS running than you’ll save. Might as well drive to Kinko’s and make copies. At least you’ll have less headaches.
* Physical Media for music. Album costs 9.99-19.99, and contains music on CD vinyl, or cassette. That costs maybe a few cents to a dollar. I’d rather just pay 4.99 on Bandcamp and get FLAC.

Everything, in a capitalist society. There is always profit(income after costs).
Inflated housing prices.
I’ve heard iPhones. They cost entire social security check and yet they’re glass canons that are more affordable replaced than they are to be fixed.
Everything. Firstly there’s more to any product than its material costs – R&D, storage, transportation, back office etc all need to be factored in. Secondly the majority of us live in capitalist countries, so if it didn’t cost more than it’s worth that would be really stupid.

It takes pennies to create soda yet it’s usually sold at 400% than it’s actual value
