Definitely Dragon Valor, though it’s already a PS1 remake of an even older game.
For its time it had great music, pretty decent combat, and depending on choices made in the story you’d get different abilites and levels and even get different playable characters depending on how your family tree progressed.
We never got any further sequels, but I could really see it working well as a modern action rpg or even a character action title, possibly with the family tree thing being branching paths you could revisit via level select. Hell, if Drakengard wasn’t so gloomy all the time it’d be pretty close already.

The Wizard of Oz. It’s a great story and it would look absolutely amazing with a big budget. It needs to be a true recreation though and not a revisioning
In all honesty, I’d love to see not so much a remake but a re-imagining of Spawn. Something more in the vein of an R-rated thriller.
