When people start to reply to what you said before you finish the sentence
Interrupt
When they jump in with their thoughts before you’ve had chance to finish
When they start smoking in the middle of the conversation
The Welsh colloquialism “now in a minute”. As in “I’ll be there now in a minute”
You’ll be here now or in a minute which is it?
My old boss used to ask me a question directly, with eye contact and intention, and half way through my answer she’d change the subject, talk to someone else, or literally just walk away. Why ask me something if your not gonna stick around for the answer?
When they just side in and keep talking…
When they start pecking at their phone. I just stop talking.
“Agree to disagree” I sorta hate that phrase. If you want to change the topic, just change it. If you want to stop arguing, say so, but “agree to disagree” feels like a slap to the face
Politic Speak.
“That’s a good point, thank you for bringing that up, now I’m going to ignore all that, not answer your question, and respond with a nothing sandwich.”
Not finishing their sentences
People that won’t get to the point, but have to digress to give you the full story behind every sentence along the way.
When they reply, “What?” to you when you’re trying to start a conversation.
I don’t mean people who don’t hear you, or people who are busy. I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME.
It’s seems to be some kind of a bad habit, and it gets on my last nerve.
Interrupting repeatedly.
Makes it about themselves.
When they try to one up you with their “happy” or “sad” story.
It’s not a competition. And I can tell the difference in if they’re just comparing their story to yours vs they want the spotlight over you.
Using “correct pronouns”
Its all bullshit, male or female, pick one!
