  1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

When I saw the trailer with the different Spider-People it looked so ridiculous and stupid to me. The concept seemed like it couldn’t possibly lead to a well-developed and impactful plot. I’m so glad a friend of mine still dragged me to the theater on opening weekend because WOW was I wrong, and now it is probably my favorite superhero movie.

  2. i thought i would hate Big Little Lies – on paper it seems awful

upper-middle class helicopter parents from Monterey and their self-inflicted drama? no thank you

but i’ll be damned if it wasn’t very well done (at least 1st season, didn’t see more than that)

  3. Legend of Korra

A sequel to Last Airbender can’t possibly be as good at the original. And to be truthful, the original is still better. However, Korra was still a fantastic show. It even did some things better than the original such as better villains and dealing with the aftermath of war.

  4. Warm Bodies.

The trailer made it look like some stupid romantic comedy with zombies in it.

I don’t want to say anything cuz I don’t want to spoil anything but if you didn’t watch it because you thought it was a stupid romantic comedy I would recommend giving it a watch

  5. Black Summer. I thought it was more than a few years too late and would be the same stuff we’ve seen in every other zombie apocalypse tv show.

    But I’m really enjoying it.

  6. The River

For an ABC network show that had only one season, it was REALLY good! I really wish they would at least finish the show properly instead of canceling after the cliffhanger….
