What is the point of having a doctor if he’s so booked up you can never get in to see him and the office staff tells you “if you need to be seen or make an appointment, you’ll have to go to Urgent Care or see the NP?

  1. Try living where I live, where my family doctor is out on “indefinite leave”

    After hours clinics won’t help you. Hospitals are telling people not to come in u less you have a life threatening emergency.

    Its a joke around here.

  2. It is even worse now. I tried to go to my doctor with a sore throat and they told me they wouldn’t see anybody with:

    * fever
    * cough
    * sneezing
    * sore/scratchy throat
    * body aches
    * difficulty breathing

    So basically, they will see me when I don’t need a doctor but won’t see me with when I have any bacterial or viral infection, allergic reaction, seasonal allergies, or any other sickness that I might need a doctor for. I don’t want a doctor who will only see me when I am well. I want the doctor who treats me when I am sick to know how my body is when I am well.
