What musical artist did you initially dismiss only to later find out that their music is actually good?

  1. Bruce Springsteen. I thought his music was fine but didn’t get why people thought he was a big deal. Then I saw him play at a festival and the live show blew me away. Such a high energy level sustained for the entire show. And he really connected with the audience I’d not experienced before.

  2. Adele. Never listened to it, I was kind of like screw it this is pop.

I listen to metal and rap occasionally. I’ve got my thing. Country and classical, but whatever you get what I mean..

Then I listened to frog leap hello. I was no call no show at work and I sent it to my boss

I loved the sound. So I’m a metal head jamming out to Adele. I don’t know what to make of that except she writes some good fucking music. Go away.

  3. In the 80s and 90s, I never liked John (Cougar) Mellencamp songs until 2-3 years after they were popular. Then I’d randomly hear a song on the radio and realize it’s worth. This happened over and over for every song that got popular.
