The ALS foundation revamped their entire donation protocol and stopped certain future events to make room for (what they thought) would be their future of funding. In 2014 they took in $100,000,000 b/c of the ice bucket challenge. 1 year later, everyone forgot about it and foundation didn’t want to admit it was just an internet fad.
Sad. Their donations dropped back down to the yearly $25,000,000 they had always rec’d.
