What would you tell a 33 year old unemployed and miserably depressed person (who is struggling to sort out his life, with no direction and at this point considers death to be an escape from it all) to motivate him?

  1. I’d say they can do it! It takes time, these things are never instant. You slowly decline and you can slowly ascend.

I’d start with one or two things. Don’t be upset when you fail, that’s ok. Because it’s the fact that you’re getting better over time that matters. It’s the fact that you’re trying that matters.

Maybe start with exercise and/or diet ? A lot of things are downstream from that.

You can do it ! 😊

  2. 1) Make a list of moments in your life that have brought you joy.

    2) Exercis

    3) know that you are not alone. Literally everyone struggles but are often too afraid to show it.

  3. As above, so below. Your intention and disposition reflects back to you in your environment. The world sucks and the only way to make it better is by spreading positivity everywhere you can. Maybe happiness isn’t meant for you but maybe you could find solace in helping others attain it.

  4. It’s never too late to become what you might have been.

Let’s try it one more time. Take it easy, okay? let’s start with unemployment, what do you want to do? Do you have savings to start up something? or do you need help updating your resume and practicing job interviews. You know you may not land on the job you want but let’s grab any opportunity that comes then when you save up enough, we will update your resume again and find a job that is more suitable for you.
And then let’s also check with psychiatrist and therapist to help you with depression, let’s try some healthy coping mechanisms.
The first step will always be the hardest but we’re gonna be okay, it’s gonna be bearable in the long run.
