  1. Fuck is not an acronym for Fornicate Under the Consent of the King (or anything else). It’s believed to be derived from the Early English word Fokken meaning to strike/hit something. Its first recorded use as slang for “to have sex with” dates from the late 15th century.

  2. If you sit too close to the television it’ll hurt your eyes.

Actually if you sit close to the TV, you probably already have vision problems, hence why you’re so close

  3. “If you’re a cop you have to tell me, otherwise it’s entrapment.” It’s perfectly legal for the police to lie to you. It is not entrapment.

  4. That touching baby animals means that its mother will disown it. It’s mostly just meant so parents don’t have to deal with their kids messing around with animals.

  5. Circumcision is a required medical procedure.

It’s not. And in America, where non-religious circumcision is most prevalent, it’s important to note that the Founding Fathers weren’t circumcised. It’s basically a social invention from the late 19th century.

  6. Drinking alcohol raises your body temperature.

In realty it does the opposite. It widens your blood vessels, making more blood flow to your skin that makes feel warm, but the heat from that extra blood passes right out of your body, lowering your body temperature.

  7. That having depression means you’re crazy when in reality you just need someone to talk to. Another one is when people believe that anti social is when you don’t care for social interactions.
