  1. There is a real estate property in Warsaw, Poland that was stolen from my family (my grandparents) by the Nazis when they invaded Poland just before WW2. This property is still standing, and is now occupied by the Polish government, used as offices. There has been a long running family feud about getting some kind of reparations for the value of this property, as we actually still have the title deeds.

It has caused major arguments, caused family members to stop communicating with each other, and during family gatherings during happy occasions nobody dares bring up the property,’or even talks about Poland.

  2. Money and things I do with it.

I’m in my 30s and have a good professional job that pays well and affords me some luxuries and fun times.

I avoid talking about a lot of what I do with my money because I don’t want to seem like I’m bragging. I make more than my aunts and uncles , and most of my cousins just don’t have their shit together.

I prefer to ask them about their lives and let them lead the conversation.
