Gardening! You can get all your supplies for free or cheap from friends and neighbors- most gardeners are happy to offer cuttings, extra pots, advice, and supplies. If you start small with an easy house plant like pothos or some marigold seeds you’ll see pretty quickly how fun it is to have something alive because of you! Then it just takes sun, not drowning the plants with too much water, and an internet connection to look up why your plant is dropping. Sure, you will probably kill a few plants along the way, but keep at it and you’ll be able to grow your own food or you Nan’s favorite flower, and that’s a really satisfying feeling. If you’re wanting to make a little difference in the world, growing some native plants to help out your local bees and bugs is a good way to do that. Also, gardeners are often pretty chill people and it’s said that gardening helps you live a long life.
