  1. Moving out and getting my own place.

Now when family asks what i want for Christmas or my birthday, my go-to is:

“Pay my phone bill” or “fill up my gas tank”

  2. Definitely growing up.

As a kid, you want the autonomy and ‘freedom’ that adults have, but as an adult, you miss not working and having no responsibilities or social pressure.

  3. Own a car.

Ugh…it’s just a big, expensive anchor: maintenance, license, taxes, registration, fuel, insurance, cleaning–and all that just to drive it at most an hour a day. If I ever tried to figure out how much that thing cost per hour of actual use, I’d probably cry.

  4. Hang out with my cousins. I was an only child and it was fun playing with other kids. Now my cousins are all Evangelical Christians that live in the South and worship former US President Donald J. Trump.
