  1. My 4th grade teacher asked us what century we were currently in. This was 1997 and everyone said 20th at once. She said no that’s incorrect so we just kept saying shit until someone yelled 19th. She thought at that time we were in the 19th century.

  2. The food pyramid. And most other nutritional “facts”.

    Back when I was in first grade it was “50 percent of what you eat every day should be bread. A gallon of milk a day will make you big and strong. Any and all fat will kill you with heart disease.” These days bread is as bad as straight sugar, milk might actually make bones brittle, and eating certain fats is necessary for good heart health.
