  1. The Skin I Live In. It’s a Spanish thriller about a doctor who turns his daughter’s rap**st into a woman and then falls in love with his creation.

  2. Return to Oz

A 80’s traumatizing children movie who is a sequel to the Wizard of Oz. The movie starts with Dorothy getting electroshocks in a insane asylum because no one believes her about her previous adventure in Oz, and then it gets darker.

  3. Amadeus.

“All I wanted was to sing to God. He gave me that longing… and then made me mute. Why? Tell me that. If He didn’t want me to praise him with music, why implant the desire — like a lust in my body — and then deny me the talent?”

The concept of wanting to create something but simply being incapable — the mundane dread of being cursed with an ability to see or even just imagine horizons you could never reach — gave me nightmares when I was a kid (and also does still).

  4. “Showgirls” isn’t usually classified as a horror movie, but I’d swear it is. And it would get a reconsideration if people went into it, thinking of that. I think it’s a pretty good flick, as a story of descent and exploitation in that business, but most just remember it as an A-rated exploitation movie.
