The Prestige
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Oldboy
Requiem for a Dream
Being John Malkovich
Jacob’s Ladder
Memento
Dark City
Shutter Island
The Big Lebowski, not the biggest mindfuck but it did confuse me when I watched it
Enter The Void from Gaspar Noé
Primer. Though it can be a bit of ‘info overload’, but you gotta kind of ride that out.
2001 Space Odyssee
The machinist
The Sixth Sense
Vivarium
Videodrome
ExistenZ
Total Recall
the green mile
Tinker tailor Soldier Spy with Gary Oldman. The mindfuck is figuring out who the mole is. The film itself is great, acting, sets, wardrobe etc… . Overall it’s fairly tame though.
A clockwork orange
Brazil
“get out” of Jordan Peele, it’s a great psychological-horror
Arlington Road
Pre destination
Matrix
No Way Out. I saw that in a theater in MCB Camp Lejune, audience just sat there at the ending after cheering on Kevin Costner all through the movie. I heard more than 1 “That’s fucked up”
Inception.
The Illusionist.
Apocalypse Now.
Guy Ritchie’s virtually unknown *Revolver*
Freaks
shutter island
The Impostor.
I’ll slightly break the rules and pick one that isn’t my *favorite* in this category, but it deserves mention as no one else said…
**Mr. Nobody**. Great concept and execution. Jared Leto playing his old self was definitely bad though. If they fixed that, it would move this movie up to amazing.
What dreams may come
The Departed
Stuart Little
*Videodrome*
Don’t pay to see it though, James Woods is quite the dick.
inception and tenet! oh and Dr.Strange! 3 great movies that you should definatly watch! and all time favorites!
Does Se7en count?
I’ll state some obvious, though they’re older, they truly meet the definition of mind fuck. No spoilers, please.
The Sixth Sense
The Usual Suspects.
Annihilation. That ending was just so…yes. not to mention it had probably one of the best monster scenes ever.
Tideland.
Mind game (2004)
Interstellar, Inception, Shutter Island, Don’t Look Up
I’m going to do a couple that aren’t as well known here:
* U Turn
* Audition (Japanese film)
Predestination
Predestination
Brilliant mind fuck based on this short story https://emilkirkegaard.dk/en/wp-content/uploads/Robert-A.-Heinlein-All-You-Zombies.pdf
The first time I watched it I didn’t sleep that night I spent the night researching it.
The best part is that the mind fuck is right at the end of the film but there are SO many clues. Every time I watch it I notice something I didn’t before
The house that Jack build.
or for something completely mindshitting… Rubber
Shutter Island
Jacob’s Ladder
