Orangutans. The babies stay with their mothers for about eight years so they can learn all they need to know to survive on their own.

Capybara. Not only are they great to their young, but they have also been known to adopt other animals.

They have strong flocking instincts. Mothers (ewes) know their lambs’ bleats and can recognize them from a great distance.
Hens are pretty fantastic mothers.
